A Walk

Oh let us take a walk
Down the road and beyond the gate
Through the woods and the alleys
We glide across the galleries.

Through the long corridors
And on the beach
Through the gentle waves
Now running between your feet.

And let us not talk
But find solace in harmony
You mull on my thoughts
And I cherish your company.

  1. So much could a walk mean, beautifully written!
Even in these few lines, a sense of unforgettable presence is felt, as if there is so much more unsaid and needs to be understood, a silence that provides solace...
I really loved the last four lines :)

  2. It is hard to believe that it was just ' A Walk' that was being spoken about. The entire flow of words builds a phenomenal replica of the text,it's something like a 1-D to 3-D shift. It creates an image that is so descriptive yet so deceptive(in terms of underlying thoughts and emotions than the ones being portrayed). There is just so much left to know, but then so much revealed already. I loved how simply it conveys all that it had to,all that it leaves unsaid to understand. Prose is definitely something you could perhaps take up more often. You have a knack for masterpieces. Thank you for the read!
The last bit truly grips. I read it over and over and I doubt if it'll ever be enough. It is perhaps like 'A Walk'.

  4. So beautiful! The earlier appreciations say it all!
"A walk" gives the feeling of company when alone and has a positive vibe (which by the way is a very welcome diversion from the style Pravesh usually follows) It is breaks like these which prove the human element. Happy to see this side of you, looking forward to more!
